This article explores the effectiveness of incorporating games in teaching vocabulary within the language learning process. Games offer interactive, student-centered learning experiences that foster motivation, engagement, and better retention of vocabulary. Drawing on current pedagogical theories and classroom studies, the paper highlights how game-based learning supports cognitive and affective development in language learners. Practical examples and strategic implementations are also discussed, providing language educators with tools to enrich their vocabulary teaching practices through purposeful gamification.
