Abstract

The article deals with the importance of using literary translation in teaching the Russian language. On the other hand, specific features of translation and role of culture in literary translation were discussed.

Key words: language limitations, institutionalized domains, word-for-word translation, discursive translation, real-world context, language proficiency, drill-and-kill activities.
