A STUDY ON TEACHING METHODS OF THE KOREAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE USING KOREAN PROVERBS FOR UZBEK LEARNERS
Abstract
This study presents an integrated educational program based on the use of Korean proverbs for students studying the Korean language in Uzbekistan. Despite the growing interest in Korean education in the country, resources integrating language and culture remain limited. The paper examines strategies to promote a deeper understanding of both linguistic expressions and cultural values. By analyzing the current state of Korean language teaching in Uzbekistan and the students’ language proficiency, a proverb-based lesson model was developed and tested. The results demonstrate that this approach contributes to the expansion of vocabulary, mastery of grammatical structures, and deepening of cultural understanding. The study also offers recommendations for integrating the teaching of Korean language and culture
