HOW SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING INTERVENTIONS AFFECT TEACHERS' RESULTS
Abstract
Over the past decade, the integration of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) interventions in educational settings has gained prominence due to their potential impact on teachers' well-being, classroom management, and student outcomes. Despite this growth, variability exists in the approaches, content, and implementation of SEL programs targeted at educators, alongside limited rigorous research on their efficacy. This review explores the historical development of SEL rationale, theoretical foundations, and the diverse frameworks guiding intervention designs. It emphasizes the importance of evidence-based practices and standardized methods for creating effective SEL interventions for teachers, highlighting the need for further research to optimize their impact on educator and student success.
