Abstract

The essential unity of law and justice is already inherent in the etymology of these words (in English “equity” and “justice”, in Latin “equity” and “court”). Justice is embodied in law, and law exists only as fair law. An unjust right is nonsense, like “dirty purity.” Legislation may be unjust, but in this case the legislation represents the arbitrariness of state power, which deprives itself of support in public legal consciousness.
