ECOLOGICAL ISSUES IN CITY STREETS: A THREAT TO URBAN SUSTAINABILITY
Abstract
City streets, while essential for urban life, pose significant ecological challenges. This article examines these issues through the lens of IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, Analysis, Discussion). We explore how streets fragment habitats, exacerbate the urban heat island effect, pollute waterways, and disrupt natural water cycles. The consequences for human and ecological health are highlighted.
