CAUSES, TYPES, CONSEQUENCES AND PREVENTION OF PLAGIARISM
Abstract
This article explores the issue of plagiarism, a significant challenge in both education and professional fields. It defines plagiarism as the act of presenting someone else’s work or ideas as one’s own without proper citation, and highlights its rise due to the widespread use of digital technologies and easy access to online resources. The article categorizes different types of plagiarism, including direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, paraphrasing plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, and accidental plagiarism, explaining how each type can occur and the consequences that follow.
