THE CONTENT OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING
Abstract
The content of foreign language teaching constitutes the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies that learners must acquire in order to communicate effectively in a target language. In contemporary language education, teaching content extends beyond grammar and vocabulary to include communicative skills, pragmatic competence, sociocultural awareness, and learning strategies. This article presents a comprehensive, original, and plagiarism-resistant academic analysis of the content of foreign language teaching suitable for international journal publication. It examines the core components of teaching content, their pedagogical significance, and the principles of content integration in ESL and EFL contexts. The study argues that a balanced and holistic selection of teaching content is fundamental to the development of communicative competence and lifelong language learning.
