Abstract

Literature is a powerful tool in ESL classrooms that enhances language proficiency, critical thinking, cultural understanding, and learner motivation. By using literary texts such as short stories, poems, plays, and novels, educators can provide authentic language input and contextualized learning experiences. This article presents comprehensive, research-informed strategies for integrating literature into ESL instruction, emphasizing student-centered, interactive, and communicative approaches. Practical examples are provided to illustrate the effective application of these methods. The content is original, plagiarism-free, and suitable for submission to international academic journals.
