Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of using the possibilities of a foreign language in the educational process, the tasks of professionally oriented teaching of foreign languages are considered. The analysis of the methodological literature on this issue shows that there is an increased interest in the methods of teaching communication activities, the formation of listening and speaking skills in students.
