Abstract

This article presents a scholarly analysis of the social and ethical views of Mahmudkhuja Behbudi. It is fair to say that at the heart of all the areas touched upon by Behbudi’s writings lies the issue of comprehensive moral and educational upbringing. His articles published in newspapers and magazines such as “We Need Reform”, “Rights Are Taken, Not Given”, “Appeal to the Youth”, “On National Affairs in Samarkand”, and “The Month of Education” attracted significant attention among the progressive public, especially the youth of Turkestan, in the early 20th century.
