THE IMPORTANCE OF CRITICAL THINKING IN SOCIETY
Abstract
The article discusses the concepts of soft skills and hard skills and their importance for the development of a specialist in the professional field. A content analysis of the definitions of soft skills and hard skills was carried out, common and distinctive features in the approaches to the understanding of “soft” and “hard” competencies of various authors were noted. Models of soft skills and their components are considered, as well as the concept of emotional competence within the framework of the model of ‘soft’ competencies and the key characteristics of soft and hard competencies.
